Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Some Details

So the story goes a little something like this . . . Karen began experiencing what felt like contractions at 4 in the morning on the 22nd. We proceeded to call her doula, Liberty, who helped bring Karen to Touro at about 9:30. Karen was an absolute rockstar pulling through 27 hours or labor, 20 of which was natural. She had dilated up to 9 cm and continued to fight through contractions to try and reach the goal of 10 cm. For those who like me, are ignorant of the details of labor, a woman's cervix must be 10 cm dilated so that the baby can travel safely down the birth canal. Unfortunately, Karen began to succumb to the pain and her cervix was not dilating that extra cm. At about midnight of the 23rd, Karen's Dr. felt it would be best that an epidural be used along with Pitocin to increase contractions and allow for lil miss to come out. So at 6:56 in the morning of the 23rd, Miss Chloë Sarrailh Higson appeared. She's healthy, bright eyed, and bushy tailed. More to follow. two

A little resemblance to Karen?
