When we told you that daddy's birthday was coming up, you were so excited. Birthday meant presents! That part you understand perfectly. We bought a traditional Dutch apple pie to celebrate and of course, we had to have candles. We must have lit them half a dozen times so that you could sing "Happy Birthday" to daddy.
